GATE Syllabus and Pattern for General Aptitude :-

General Aptitude (GA) section is common to all the papers. The GA section is designed to test your language, analytical and quantitative skills.

Paper Pattern

The General Aptitude section is of 15 marks. It consists of 10 questions in all – 5 questions carrying 1 mark each and 5 questions carrying 2 marks each.

Part 1

Verbal Ability: English Grammar, Sentence Completion, Verbal Analogies, Word Groups, Critical Reasoning and Verbal Deduction.

Part 2

Numerical Ability: Numerical Computation, Numerical Estimation, Numerical Reasoning and Data Interpretation.
