JEE MAIN EXAM Pattern :-
JEE-Main Exam has two papers
Paper-1 and Paper-2.
Candidates may opt for either or both of them.
Paper I – B.E, B.Tech, B.Com, B.Sc (Offline and Online Test) :
One objective type question paper. The paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The duration of the paper will be 3 (Three) Hours. The Paper I will be conducted in Computer Based online Test and Paper and Pen offline Test.
Paper II – B.Arch, B.Planning (Only Offline Test) :
The Paper II will have one Question Paper consisting of 3 Parts. Part I Mathematics, Part II Aptitude Test and Part III Drawing Test as per past practice of AIEEE. Part I and Part II are having only Objective type questions. The duration of the paper will be 3 Hours. The Paper II will be conducted only in Paper and Pen offline Test.
Paper 1 – for B.E/B.TECH courses :-
Duration: 3 hrs
Objective type questions with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
Four options with single correct answer
Negative marking – for each incorrect response, one fourth (1/4) of the total marks allotted to the question would be deducted.No response will mean no deduction of marks
Paper 2 – for B.ARCH/B. PLANNING :-
Duration: 3 Hours
Mathematics – Part I – objective questions
Aptitude Test – Part II – objective questions
Drawing Test – Part III – to test drawing aptitude
**No of attempts in JEE(Main) Exam
The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE(Main) shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years. The candidates passed +2 exam in 2015 or 2016 or appearing in +2 in 2016 are only eligible to appear in JEE Main 2017. Candidates passed +2 in 2015 or before or appearing in 2014 are not eligible to appear in JEE 2017.
